- HMT Shopping Centre Visits – 1 or 2 days per month selling Beachlynn products in a local shopping centre, and raising awareness of SASI.
- Camp – our Client Committee (and staff) are planning 2 x 3 day camps this year at YMCA Camp Manyung.
- Fundraising – a variety of events including a sponsored walk, car wash, and sausage sizzle are helping to provide funds for Camp.
- Special Occasions – from time to time theatre, music, community events and festivals can see Beachlynn deviate from the standard program to take advantage of these opportunities as they arise.
Transport:
We have six buses, including 2 with wheelchair access, available for program use during the day, but only limited transport is available for ‘bus runs’. New clients should be prepared to organise their own transport to and from the centre.
Person Centred Plans:
All clients, with their key worker, complete a Person Centred Plan (PCP) when they begin at Beachlynn. This document is then updated regularly, and gives a snapshot of the client. It provides information around what the person likes, dislikes, current skills, goals and objectives, and outlines those people important in their life.
The PCP is the basis upon which programs are selected by the client, and a developmental tool allowing Beachlynn to set its timetable each year.
Beachlynn in a Nutshell:
With an average client age of 26, this young and active day program emphasises client choice and responsibility, and assists each person to make individual choices. We aim to help our clients develop their skills to the best of their abilities, and to make the most of any positive opportunities that arise.
Please contact us to arrange an appointment if you, or someone you know, would like to visit our premises, and to discuss our programs to determine whether Beachlynn is right for you.

Person Centred Plans:
A Person Centred Plan is a person directed planning tool that focuses on supporting a person to do things in a way that the person wants and which helps them to be part of their community.
By building the capacity of the person through planning collectively and by focusing on the individual’s gifts, talents and skills rather than deficits, we can enhance the opportunities for the individual to engage in activities that promote a sense of belonging in their community.
A Person Centred Plan is about who the person is, who is in their life and what we can do together to achieve a better life for the person now and in the future. We promote 1 person = 1 plan so that services, parents, carers, and others will work together to achieve what the person wants.
It is about self determination, self advocacy and community membership. By working collectively we all then have a consistent approach to support the person to achieve their dreams.
Transport:
Transport to Eastlynn can be negotiated on an individual basis.
Through client involvement Eastlynn ATSS will endeavor to improve individual self esteem, rights and responsibilities, choice, competencies, community presence and participation.
We provide an environment which:
- supports the development and empowerment of participants
- encourages individual choice and fosters self confidence
- assists participants to be valued members of the community
- encourages the development of our staff in the disability field
- continually reviews our service program to meet the needs and abilities of all individuals.
