SASI is a not-for-profit, non-government organisation governed by a board of eight community members. Our board is made up of parents, as well as public and private sector advocates. SASI’s Board meets each month and is committed to SASI’s best practice methodology. Terms of governance and service provision are key considerations for the future of SASI.

Louise has run a wide variety of business’s from packaged goods, retail, celebrity management, television, and franchising businesses. Louise combines highly strategic insights and creative problem solving skills to drive solid long-term business growth.

Angelia is a highly experienced health sector executive and joined the Board this year. Her skills include governance, risk management, strategic planning and patient safety. A Peninsula resident, Angelia is CEO of the Pancare Foundation and previously held Executive General Manager roles at Ambulance Victoria and the Peter MacCallum Cancer Institute. Joining SASI in 2016, Angelia has held previous Board positions with Impact and Melba Support Services.

Rosy is a corporate tax specialist focused on advising organisations and their owners in navigating tax risk and opportunities through the life cycle of their business. She has broad industry experience across corporate transactions/exit events and restructuring to optimise business growth/strategic objectives.
Rosie also supports ongoing tax compliance and promotes advisory relationships with organisations through their growth journeys – from both the company and shareholder perspective.

Rob has extensive experience in the health and human services sector at both practitioner and executive management levels. He is actively involved in policy development including peak body representation and has a strong focus on stakeholder engagement and governance particularly in the not-for-profit sector.
Rob is the current Independent Chair of Headspace Frankston and Executive Director of SEHCP Inc. He has held many Non -Executive Director roles in Health, Education and Community organisations.
Rob has demonstrated capacity in strategic business planning and direction, financial and capital management, project evaluation and oversight of human resource management.

David originally joined SASI as an Independent Adviser on the Finance Committee. He has broad expertise in the finance and audit area, and works in the local community working with a number of Not for Profit clients.
David has experience working with many Boards in his role as auditor and has an in-depth knowledge of the fiduciary duties of a Director. David has a passion for music and exercise and is involved in community sport.

Gerard has over 25 years’ experience in Commonwealth investigations and professional standards. As a parent of three adult children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, he advocates strongly for the rights of those with disabilities. Gerard’s children have been associated with SASI services since 2015.

Catherine is a GP with over 30 years of experience in community medicine. She has been on several boards including two Aged care facilities and Amaze. She has an adult son on the autism spectrum.

Tony has over 30 years’ experience in senior management roles in the healthcare sector both in Australia and the United States and is the founder and CEO of Christmas Corporate Advisory, a consulting firm advising healthcare companies on strategy.
Tony remains active in his local community and is a current volunteer with the Australian Volunteer Coast Guard Victoria. Tony joined the SASI Board in 2011 and was Deputy Chair from 2014-2018

Kath is an Occupational Therapist and Ergonomist by background, who has worked in a range of primary, secondary and tertiary health settings in the UK and Australia over the past 30 years.
She is also an active Board Director, with roles as Deputy Chair of a local NFP, member of Headspace Quality & Risk Committee and Nominations Committee of a local Primary Health Network.

Lisa has over two decades of experience in the public and not for profit employment services sector with a reputation for providing strategic leadership, innovative change management, service design, business planning and risk management solutions.
Lisa is committed to working in a collaborative, transparent and inclusive manner, which allows strong relationships to be built with staff, peers and stakeholders. She has worked extensively with all levels of government to influence policy and advocate best practice principles informed by the sector.

With a background in Economics and more than 20 years’ experience in the Private, Corporate and Not for Profit sectors, at SASI, Melissa is leading an entirely new approach to service delivery under the NDIS whilst maintaining business-as-usual operations across a diverse portfolio of services.
Melissa was selected into the 20/21 Women & Leadership Australia (WLA) and holds a number of voluntary board and committee positions with charitable and benevolent organisations and she is a passionate advocate for grass root sports.
Chief Financial Officer
Nikki is a qualified CA with over 20 years’ experience working across many industries and organisational structures including FMCG, manufacturing, education, aged care, retail and not for profit organisations.
With strong understanding of tax law, human resources, accounting compliance and statutory obligations, Nikki has the knowledge, systems and practices to assist SASI in meeting their compliance and accounting requirements whilst also providing strategic advice that drives business growth.
Our focus and specialty with clients with ASD ensures that our staff are across the latest development in this area and ensure that our focus is on Positive Behaviour Support, which enables us to provide high quality, evidence based supports for clients with high and complex needs who frequently present with behaviours of concern.
Our qualified specialized multidisciplinary teams use a person centered framework to provide holistic and meaningful supports to clients with ASD. Our staff are able to take an evidence-based approach through Positive Behaviour Support and our Goal Mastery to increase our client’s quality of life and decrease the frequency and severity of their behaviours of concern.
Agency staff are only used in emergencies and make up less than 1% of our staffing support, we achieve this through being an employer of choice within the Disability Sector.

Yi-Lee Phang is the Principal GP at Essendon Fields Medical Centre. He has interests in occupational health, clinical governance and medical education. He plays an active role with the Australian Army Reserves. Yi-Lee also supervises GP Registrars and Medical Students from Monash University.

Vivienne is a qualified company director, strategist and marketer with more than 20 years’ experience. Using her skills in strategy, corporate and clinical governance, marketing and development, she has worked in the health sector for organisations such as Paraquad, Scope, Alfred Health and Red Cross. She is a Director of strategic consultancy Marketing Logic and is also on the boards of Scouts Victoria and the Victorian Opera. Vivienne joined the Board in 2015 and is a former Chair of the Frankston Arts Centre.
